KITCHENAID ADDS WORLD’S FIRST BUILT-IN FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR TO ITS EXTENSIVE COLLECTION

CHICAGO (April 21, 2006) - Consumers, builders, remodelers and designers now have a built-in refrigerator
option that offers both endless possibilities for storing every cook’s favorite ingredients and maximum flexibility in
kitchen design: the world’s first 42-inch Built-In French Door Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator from KitchenAid.

Now available, this latest addition to the extensive line of KitchenAid® refrigerators offers the largest capacity in
the built-in category with the freezer-on-the-bottom configuration. Currently, KitchenAid is the only brand to offer
a full line of French Door refrigerator options including freestanding, counter-depth and the exclusive 42-inch built-
in model.

“Beyond its advantages from a design perspective, cooks will appreciate both the space in our new built-in French
Door model and the thoughtful features that help keep ingredients at their freshest,” notes Brian Maynard,
KitchenAid Marketing Director.
At 42 inches wide and 22.5 Cu. Ft., the new KitchenAid® Built-In French Door Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator offers
the widest continuous space of any refrigerator. Shelves span the entire interior with no center divider so items like
large platters, baking pans and cookie sheets are easily accommodated. Two refrigerator doors, each with their own
adjustable storage shelves, simplify the task of organizing ingredients. Frequently used staples like milk and juice
can be separated from specialty items like condiments and marinades, providing easier viewing and access to these
items.
“The French Door configuration provides greater flexibility in kitchen layout and more fluidity of movement while
cooking,” said Maynard. “So while it offers the largest interior capacity of any refrigerator in this category, at the
same time its narrow door swing saves space in the kitchen, resulting in easier movement around islands and other
appliances when the doors are open.”
